Main Task - Location Shots [Part 1]

For Shots 1, 9, and 13-15, which correspond to our draft storyboard, we have decided to use the school hall, which we believe to be the best possible and available location to shoot at. It has large windows, but with opaque curtains which will allow us to get the hall to the right lighting we plan on using.

The only issue we have with the area is that there is no large spotlight over the stage. It could cause a potential issue, but can be solved if we can gain the permission from the Drama department to use a portable light for the shoot. This way, we can guarantee we can use our preferred location, and also use all the props necessary.

The dance scene within Shot 12 will also be filmed within the hall, using a glitter ball to create a nice effect. This will mean we can still keep the hall dark, thus hiding anything that could be distunguishable with the school.

The images shown within the posts were taken with all curtains open, but without any artificial light.  This will allow for us to work out whether the curtains will keep all light out, which we will test over the coming days before filming.
