Ancillary Task - Digipak Update

Having now started some work on the digipak, we have been able to come up with what is below using the images we shot from our shoot at the end of last month.

We have chosen to create a conventional 6-panel digipak, as opposed to the 4 panels that the rest of the group are creating. This is because this is what our research has shown us is the standard within the music industry.

Also, we have been able to complete the front cover of the digipak, by blending the three images together and putting a slight shadow border around it. This draws the audience's eyes towards the face, and also keeps with the black and white effect of the photos.

Alongside this, we have kept to our chosen typography, using both fonts that we chose last week.

As you can see, we've now chosen to use the diary image for the back cover, where we will place the tracklist and all necessary record company information that you would see on the back of a standard CD.

We have the immediate flap on the inside, which shows the image of the stool on the floor - using the house colours used across all three elements of the project, and also becoming the star image motif as this is what is used prominently within the video.

On the inside 3 panels of our digipak, we plan to use the three images used on the front cover. Each picture looks ever so slightly like a mugshot, used by the police, which adds a mystery about these images. It also ties in all the projects, depicting the story of the video by the solemn faces. On the left panel would be the CD with the music, and the right panel would feature the DVD that we are using theoretically for the digipak.
